Rooftop

So the season is over and I’m going to try and restart this after the hiatus. The website is due for an upgrade which will happen slowly but for now I’ll show some photos from the summer. Unfortunately I can’t show my favorite ones due to their content of high profile people and confidentiality agreements but I still have some gems I like.

This is Bussana Vecchia. A medieval village destroyed and abandoned in 1887 after an earthquake that killed over 2000 people. The village has since been illegally occupied by a number of artisans that have turned it into a rather neat place (and have successfully fought and survived multiple evictions). The photo was taken from the rooftop garden of a man by the name of Marco.

    Chasing Light

So Dad and I were often seeing these great shots where the light was doing something abnormal or intriguing. Unfortunately  many times were were not able to pull over in time before the moment was lost. This is one of those shots. The original atmosphere that we saw was lost before I could get the camera however I like the mood of this photo anyways.

      Between Storms

On our first day of driving through Iceland, Dad and I kept driving through whiteout after whiteout with only glimpses of the area we were driving. This was one of those glimpses.

        Gullfoss

Taken In Iceland. Dad will remember this one. Or particularly yelling at me for going outside on to the ice beyond the safety netting.

          Green

Norway is an incridbly green place. I’m guessing it has to do with all the rain. While I was there I saw only about 2-3 hours of sunshine. There was plenty of daylight. Around 22 hours of daylight. The sun, however, rarely comes out. It made for some cool photos though.

            Cliche

Photographs of cats have unfortunately become rather cliche of late.

Too bad. I like this photo.

This cat sat there staring at us from the Kotor wall while we photographed it. Her kitten was more camera shy.
