Shifting Snow

One of the things we saw a lot of in Iceland was light snow running across the ground like a fluid. At sunset, it would light up orange like a grass-fire and run across the horizon. This shot was taken as we came off the Skaftafellsjokull arm of the Vatnajokull glacier (the largest glacier in Iceland).

    Ice on Fire

Iceland, on our way back to the Baenir and Braud B&B in Stykkisholmur. Baenir & Braud was was by far our favorite place to stay in Iceland. Greta, the owner, is truly the best host we had on the island.
Having just finished our drive around the Snaefellsnes peninsula, we returned to find every shop and restaurant closed (it was Sunday after all). We ate burgers at the local gas station with a couple who were in the exact same predicament.
