Before any boss trip, we always had to put up the NY Yacht Club burgee on the top of the mast. From the deck, the flag looked to be about the size of a hand towel when in reality it was about 2 meters by 4 meters. It was a fun job but required getting out of the bosun’s chair used to hoist you up, clipping in with a second harness and climbing until you are standing on the tip of the mast 50m from the water.Show Comments (1)
One of two tuna trawlers that landed on a reef and suffered the consequences. The stern (right underneath me) lies in 25m while the bow sits on top of the reef exposed. The second trawler it on her side lying just off the stern of this one in about 30m of water.
This was by far the best dive i had in the Maldives.
Note, when wreck diving, always wear gloves and bing a flashlight. I had some good cuts and some of the spaces would have been easier to navigate if I hadn’t had to rely on existing light.Leave a reply
